You will need a 2-litre loaf tin. This is a sweet soft bread for afternoon tea or a late weekend breakfast.

Ingredients
    For the dough
  • 50 g 50 fresh yeast or 10 g dry yeast
  • 500 ml lukewarm whole milk
  • 100 g butter (soft)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp fine salt
  • 800 g strong white bread flour (plus more to dust)
  • 1 egg (lightly beaten)
    • For the filling
  • 200 g butter
  • 100 g caster sugar
  • 3 tbsp ground cinnamon
    • For the icing
  • 200 g icing sugar (confectioner’s sugar)
  • 1 tbsp 1-2 boiling water
