Scandinavian Christmas Supper

There may not be snow but we anticipate a crisp & cool night when we welcome you to a candle lit
La Fromagerie in Marylebone for a ‘Hygge’ evening, the Danish word for cosiness, when we will be celebrating Christmas the Scandinavian way.

For this festive supper Trine have chosen some of her favourite Christmas Eve dishes.

We begin with an Elderflower Cocktail and various Danish style canapés of chicken liver paté on rye & beetroot smoked salmon with crisps breads
For supper we begin with a delicate salad of Salt Cod with Kale Pesto on a Celeriac Bruschetta followed by a proper piece of Roast Pork with Spices & Crispy Crackling
Served with a Red Cabbage and Warm Chicory Salad dressed with Tarocco oranges & toasted walnuts. But the big draw is Trine’s famous Caramel Potatoes which is an essential part of her Christmas Eve supper.

We will also serve a plate of Scandinavian cheese, sourced by Trine, served with La Fromagerie’s own rye & caraway biscuits.

For dessert we promise you the ’best pudding in the world – only to be eaten on Christmas eve – of Rice Pudding with Hot cherry sauce – it even comes with traditional Scandinavian game & of course a prize for the lucky winner.

Trine will host the evening and will share more of the Scandinavian festive food traditions and delightful stories from Nisse to Santa Lucia.

With La Fromagerie decorated with Danish Christmas ornaments this promises to be a beautiful way to get us all into the festive spirit.
