In the run-up to Rio+20 in June, 2014, Trine Hahnemann talked at The Nordic Council of Ministers’ conference and expert seminar From New Nordic Food to New Rural Economy.

The seminar brought together participants from Nordic and South American countries and representatives of international organizations such as the European Environment Agency, FAO and Bioversity International.

Together with 20 chefs from Brazil and around the world, Trine participated in herbal and plant collecting in the local area, she traded in local markets and later contributed with her Nordic recipes in a Brazilian food magazine in Sao Paolo.
